Investindustrial acquires Della Toffola
As part of the deal, the family will remain minority shareholders with 26.5 per cent of the business
Andrea Bonomi's private equity holding Investindustrial (by Investindustrial VII L.P. fund) takes over the majority of Della Toffola and DT Invest, an Italian Treviso-based company founded in 1958 and today a leader in the design and construction of automated machines and lines in various sectors of beverage production, as well as in bottling systems, water treatment and packaging. The brothers Vittorio, Francesco and Luciano Della Toffola, current sole shareholders, will hold a stake of 26.5% of the capital, alongside Investindustrial which will hold 73.5%.
The size of the investment has not been specified.
Della Toffola is based in Trevignano (TV), has 8 production plants (of which 7 in Italy) and 9 commercial branches in France, Spain, England, Romania, USA, Australia, Argentina, Chile and Mexico and 600 employees. The group achieved a turnover of 144 million euros in 2019. The Della Toffola family, also present in the company with the third and fourth generation, will support and accompany the new investor in the industrial project that will enhance the group's ambitions.
