Imma Simioli, CEO of Fresystem, is the new president of Tradizione Italiana-Italian Food Tradition, the consortium of companies that promotes quality Italian food. Simioli will join the CEO Sabato D'Amico. The board of directors of the consortium sent thanks to the outgoing president Giuseppe Calcagni (Besana) for having made his long entrepreneurial experience available to the institution.
Immacolata Simioli, 54, 35 of whom was employed in the company, named Cavaliere del Lavoro in 2012, is the head of Fresystem, a leading company in the production of frozen pastries and quick snacks, with headquarters in the province of Naples. “I am honored - Simioli declares - to represent such prestigious food companies. The quality level of our companies is already very high. The context leads us to be even more united today, anticipating future turns together. Italian Food Tradition is a consortium company that associates sixteen companies of Italian food excellence to promote quality Italian agri-food abroad, mainly on new markets and to support the consortium companies in the marketing of their products both to the retail channel and to that of catering. In addition to Fresystem, a company known above all for the Cupiello brand, it includes Basso Fedele & Figli (oils), Besana, Casillo, D&D Italia D'Amico, De Nigris, Di Leo (bakery products), Fattorie Garofalo, General Fruit, Gias (frozen vegetables and ready meals), Kimbo, La Doria, Pastificio G. Di Martino and F.lli, Siciliani Carni, Villa Matilde (wines).
