France: Innatis acquires Domaine des Coteaux
The fruit company expands its range and diversifies its summer stone fruit production
French fruit company Innatis acquired stone fruit producer Domaine des Coteaux for an undisclosed sum. Since its foundation in the 1950s, Innatis has distinguished itself for its production, packaging and marketing of apples in the large fruit market in France and abroad. Domaine des Coteaux is a producer of peaches and nectarines, as well as apricots, cherries and kiwis, and reportedly sells nearly 13,000 tons of fruit annually. The acquisition agreement allows Innatis to expand its range and diversify its summer stone fruit production.
Domaine des Coteaux CEO Nathalie Bonnet will continue in her role, also joining the strategic board of Innatis. Bonnet said: “I am delighted to partner with Innatis. We share the same values and make it a priority to produce healthy and quality fruit, attentive to the environment. Renewal is at the heart of our common approach and this collaboration will allow us to join forces to modernize and perpetuate our crops".
In addition, the French company has "opened its capital" to Unigrains, an investor in the agri-food sector that will support it in new growth projects. "With Unigrains, we have found an ideal partner to carry out growth projects," said Marc Rauffet , president of Innatis. "This ambition is perfectly demonstrated by the acquisition of the Domaine des Coteaux, where our pioneering spirit, our expert know-how and the particular attention we pay to nature unite us and make this collaboration particularly meaningful".
