Industrie Chimiche Forestali, reduces industrial water discharges to zero

The Group uses a closed process for water recycling

Industrie Chimiche Forestali SpA, a company among the reference operators at national and international level in the design, production and marketing of high-tech adhesives and fabrics, listed on the Aim Italia market, organized and managed by Borsa Italiana, in the implementation of sustainability, has engineered the industrial process with the aim of reducing industrial water discharges to zero: the water used in industrial processes, through a “closed” processing cycle, is not eliminated externally but continues to be used internally.

Water, considered a precious and essential asset, is a central element of attention for the Icf group which has developed a system for the regeneration and reintegration of waste water from the production cycle so that, after being appropriately treated independently, can remain in circulation. This innovation brings with it a double advantage: on one hand respect for the environment and on the other hand the optimization of water consumption. The non-discarded and “regenerated” water is used in particular in the production of fabrics, water-based adhesives, and in the washing of industrial reactors.

Marcello Taglietti, Coo of Industrie Chimiche Forestali SpA, declared: “In the treatment of the so-called 'blue gold' we are committed to being an active subject in preserving this precious asset by engineering an innovative system. Our commitment to the recovery and reuse of water is in line with the logic of the 'Circular economy' that we have long decided to support”.
