Banco Bpm has completed a 5 million euro loan in favor of Riso Scotti SpA, guaranteed by Sace as part of the export and internationalization support activity of Italian companies. The operation is aimed at strengthening the presence in international markets of the Scotti brand which is already present in over 80 countries and intends to create further commercial synergies overseas, without neglecting India and China. The goal is to make rise made in Italy known and appreciated, proposing it as a gastronomic specialty at all latitudes, and declining it in a complete line dedicated to foreigners who love Italian taste. With a view to completing and integrating the range, the Pavia-based company also aims to affirm healthy rice-based products for every moment of consumption, from breakfast to main meals, to snack breaks.

Dario Scotti, president and CEO of the company underlines: "To conquer foreign palates, the secret is represented by the dishes made in Italy, accompanied by the ability to combine taste, goodness and health in a truly global diet. In the United States our ready risottos have increased sales tenfold and the products born from diversification, which use rice as a basic ingredient, have gained the attention of all the main markets, including China, thanks to the quality and food safety that our brand guarantees".

In 160 years of activity, first from a mill and later a traditional rice mill, Riso Scotti has transformed into a food industry capable of declining rice at 360°, also using it as an ingredient for: risotto, biscuits, sweet and savory snacks, baked, gluten-free and lactose-free, as well as vegetable drinks and condiments. The company reveals a turnover of 224 million Euros, of which over 30% abroad, and a production completely concentrated in Italy. In the last two years, it has reduced Co2 emissions by over 39% against a 19% increase in the volume of energy consumption, thanks to a sustainable supply chain program to protect the Italian rice tradition and efficient and respectful agriculture.
