Coffee machines: Ceme acquires 100% of Ode

Objective: "to strengthen leadership in the market for industrial pumps and valves"

Solenoid pumps and valves intended for applications in the coffee, vending and beverage sectors

Ceme Spa, one of the world leaders in the sector of vibration electric pumps and solenoid valves based in Trivolzio (Pv) controlled by the Investindustrial fund, acquires 100% of Ode, an Italian-Chinese group active in the production of pumps and solenoid valves. Ode is a historic industrial company founded in 1960 in Esino Lario which has seen constant growth in its business, culminating in the acquisition of the Acl company in 2015. Today the Group can count on three industrial plants, around 750 employees and a higher turnover of 80 million euros.

The operation, completed in recent days, will allow Ceme to further expand its commercial and industrial presence, relying on a further production capacity of pumps and solenoid valves destined, among others, for applications in the coffee, vending and beverage, refrigeration and water-management. In the transaction, the Ode Group was supported by Banca Finint as financial advisor and by Backer McKenzie as legal advisor, while Ceme was supported by Chiomenti as legal advisor.

“This acquisition represents a fundamental step for Ceme, because it allows us to add to our offer a range of products that are totally complementary to those already present in our portfolio”, declared CEO Roberto Zecchi . "Thanks to the strategic and financial support of Investindustrial, we have embarked on a path of internal and external growth that has led us to strengthen and consolidate our leadership in the segments and markets in which we operate".
