Sperlari acquires the majority of Dulcioliva

Giuseppe Oliva will remain at the helm of the Piedmontese chocolate company

Sperlari, the historic Italian brand born in 1836 and today owned by the German group Katjes International, continues its growth path and announces the acquisition of the majority of Dulcioliva, a Piedmontese company with almost 100 years of experience in the chocolate specialties sector. In partnership with the founders' grandchildren, Luigi and Giuseppe Oliva (the latter will continue to lead the company), Sperlari will be able to count on a large portfolio of chocolate specialties of our best tradition: Dulcioliva is in fact a world leader in the Cuneo area, alongside other specialties such as truffles, gianduiotti, various pralines such as "noccioghiotti" and "tasteme", spreads, bars and much more.

"Sperlari and Dulcioliva are two Italian companies with a great tradition, whose products integrate perfectly - declared Piergiorgio Burei , ceodi Sperlari - as quality and goodness of the product, attention to raw materials, tradition and Italian spirit, are values that unite us. Furthermore, this union between Sperlari and Dulcioliva - added Piergiorgio Burei - will offer both new development opportunities in Italy and abroad to be even closer to consumers and satisfy their taste and quality needs through the best expression of "Made in Italy".

Founded by the brothers Luigi and Cesare Oliva in 1924, Dulcioliva achieves a turnover of over 8 million euros, of which over 30% abroad in over 22 countries, an element that will offer further opportunities for synergy with Sperlari on various markets in Europe, North America and Asia. Located in Borgo San Dalmazzo, in the province of Cuneo, today Dulcioliva has a modern plant of 3000 square meters, equipped with technologically advanced systems.

Sperlari has been combining tradition, innovation and quality for 185 years and its products have accompanied generations of Italians. Sperlari products use high quality and Italian raw materials: fruit from Sperlari, milk from Galatine, mint and licorice from Saila, and they are made in the four Italian factories of Cremona, Gordona (SO), San Pietro in Casale (BO) and Silvi Marina (TE).
