Horeca restarts from HostMilano

The 42nd edition will be held in attendance from 22 to 26 October 2021

Thanks to the easing of restrictions and the new measures decided by governments on the subject of exhibition structures, the Horeca world is ready to restart "live" at fieramilano, from 22 to 26 October 2021, at HostMilano, the global equipment hub that brings together the most important Italian and international companies (to date there are already more than 1000 exhibitors from 40 countries). The simultaneous holding of Tuttofood, a reference fair for the agri-food ecosystem, will multiply business opportunities. From the Internet of Things to energy saving, from green sensitivity to the circular economy, from security to hygiene, from rethinking formats and spaces to the adoption of new materials and new approaches for the world of away from home. These are some of the highlights of the event. A series of digital processes will allow companies to benefit from the advantages offered by HostMilano, such as holding webinars on the most topical issues, sending newsletters, updating exhibition sites and social channels.

In its role as trendsetter and place-to-be for anyone who innovates in the world of hospitality, within the next edition of HostMilano a particular look at the priority of the Next Normal for companies in the sector cannot be missing: security and quality. Two key words, which concern not only the products, but also the environments in which the offer is used. Because, according to the experts, consumers in the coming years will decide to direct their choices towards those out-of-home professionals (from restaurants to bars, from bakers to pastry shops) who will be able to gain trust not only by virtue of their products, but also thanks to the technologies adopted to keep their spaces “safe”. That is, operators must be able to change their vision around the concept of "security" and "safety", starting to consider safety not as a cost, but as an investment for the future, on which to focus through continuous training and compliance with certified sanitation protocols.

HostMilano will be enriched with another tool such as the Fiera Milano Platform, a new platform dedicated to the entire community of the reference supply chains. The Smart Label Host Innovation Award, the competition open to all "innovative" companies held in collaboration with Poli.Design consortium of the Milan Polytechnic, and with the patronage of Adi (Italian association for industrial design). An award that in the last three editions has seen the awarding of over 150 awards and 20 special recognitions, and which once again this year has one goal: to evaluate the rate of innovation and the most intelligent solutions of the competing companies, "judged" by a jury composed of seven professional university professors and national and international experts in the field of hospitality design and energy saving.

Appointment also fixed with "Luxury pastry in the world" by Iginio Massari (in the presence of the most important pastry chefs in the world). There will also be events and competitions organized by Altoga, the national association. Within the macro-area "Bread", "Pizza", "Pasta" in addition to the Bakery Academy, the masters of sourdough will take the field for the Panettone World Championship. Finally, on the catering front, Fipe will present "Catering 4.0", a privileged observatory on digital innovation in the sector that will share the scene with the seminars of the Horeca Digital Academy, organized by Apci (Professional Chefs Association), and with those by FCSI on the future of Hospitality. News and trends of tomorrow that will also be at the center of the Design Talks, in collaboration with, moments of professional updating on highly topical issues applied to the professional hospitality and design sector.

Like every edition, HostMilano will feature a parterre with exhibitors from the five corners of the planet. As for the made in Italy, the companies already include names such as Gruppo Cimbali, Simonelli Group, Hausbrandt, Gruppo Ima, Pregel, Babbi, Imperia & Monferrina, Tagliavini, Ali Group, Rational, Berto's, Costa Group, Calligaris, Abert- Broggi 1818, Bormioli Rocco. Among the international companies, confirmed their participation: Welbilt, Hobart, Salva, Wiesheu, Josè Julio Jordao, Valmar Global, Wmf Group, Schaerer, Curtis, Marco Beverage Systems, Probat-Werke von Gimborn Maschinenfabrik, Ahlstrom. From 3 June on the Simest portal it will be possible for companies to access the 394/81 fund with new subsidized loan applications. This is a new opportunity to support the participation of Italian companies in international trade fairs as part of the internationalization process of companies, also with a non-repayable co-financing quota from the share of resources of the fund for integrated promotion.
