6 new openings in 2021, 10 stores in 2022, the company aims to double in 2023
After a first successful test in the Piedmont area with the opening of the two stores in Turin and Beinasco, Banco Fresco, the retail chain specialized in the freshest, is preparing to land in Lombardy as well and announces a development plan that will include in Italy 6 new openings in 2021, 10 stores in 2022, aiming at doubling in 2023. Born in 2017, the Banco Fresco brand offers about 3,250 references, ranging from fruit and vegetables, to cheeses and dairy products, passing through butchers and delicatessens, fishmongers, food pantry up to the bakery, managed in partnership with the El Pan brand. The format includes an EL Pan shop adjacent to the Banco Fresco shop. This is a coffee shop and bakery offering bread, pizzas, focaccia and pastry products.
"Banco Fresco, offers refined products, coming both from the best Italian supply chain with its numerous local excellences, but also from the foreign supply chain, with the aim of guaranteeing a constant combination of convenience and quality throughout the year", says a press release . "With Banco Fresco we wanted to recreate that magical atmosphere of the covered markets of yesteryear, surrounded by the aromas and flavors of the neighborhood, while introducing all the advantages that a modern structure is able to offer today", declared Riccardo Coppa, director general of the company. "A format designed to propose above all an idea of good and healthy food, in the name of well-being and refinement of the products, but with an excellent quality-price ratio. We are very proud of the success achieved so far and of being able to announce a development strategy that in the coming months will see us increasingly protagonists of the Italian market”.
The formula proposed by Banco Fresco for the very fresh is that of the "covered market of the past, with a few more comforts". "Another feature that distinguishes the company in the retail landscape is the commitment to safeguarding the environment as much as possible", explains a press release. All the products of the fruit and vegetable departments, in fact, are presented in bulk, in order to contain waste, thus avoiding at the same time imposing a specific weight on the customer.
