Croci Group acquires the French company Canifrance

Turnover growth forecast in 2021 of + 33%

The Croci Group, an Italian company specializing in the pet sector and one of the leaders in dog accessories, after closing 2020 with a turnover of 36 million euros, announces the purchase of the French company Canifrance. The operation represents a further stage in the group's internationalization process, which began in 2010 with the purchase of the German Amtra and continued in 2019 with the opening of a branch in China. Thanks to the acquisition of Canifrance and the growth in sales worldwide, this year the Varese group expects to increase its turnover to 48 million euros (+ 33%).

Founded in 1946, Canifrance is a historic transalpine company in the pet sector specializing in the production of high quality collars and leashes for dogs and cats, with a well-known brand (Bobby) and a widespread and consolidated presence on the French market. With a catalog of about 4,500 products, divided as follows: 40% collars, leashes and harnesses; 25% dog clothing; 20% beds and pillows; 10% carrying bags; 5% games and more, Canifrance achieves an annual turnover of approximately 5 million Euros through the sale of over 600 thousand items. In addition to home, it also boasts a presence in specialized shops and boutiques for dogs and cats in Europe, Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates.

“The Canifrance operation has a double strategic value", explains Dario Croci , founder of the Croci Group. "On the one hand, thanks to our experience in the sector, we will be able to strengthen the presence and sales of the French brand on its traditional outlet markets. On the other hand, we will be able to use the distribution network of the transalpine company to promote and market Croci products in France”.
