Eataly is getting to Stockholm

Il Fiorino’s cheese is one of the excellences in the new store

On Saturday 17th February a new Eataly’s store opened in Stockholm. To the chain, founded by Oscar Farinetti, it is the 12th store opened abroad in Biblioteksgatan, the shopping street in the heart of Stockholm, in the ex-headquarter of the historical Roda Kvarn cinema.

So, in an around 3000 mq area, the tricolor offer, from its cheese to its cured meats, from its fish to its meat, not to mention its fresh pasta and bread, gets to Sweden. Still, there will be sauces, spices, extra virgin olive oil, products of excellence realised with taste and creativity by chefs of restaurants, who will propose Italian tradition dishes every day.

The Eataly Executive President, Andrea Guerra, affirmed: “a new opening is another great step to us. The one we are opening in Stockholm is a store to be loved, a shop that will satisfy the eyes’ curiosity and gives emotions: amongst the others, it is a choice that makes us stop by as such a different country as Italy. For the first time, more than 1,500 Italian products, which are ambassadors of our food and wine culture, will get to Sweden, which historically is the country most devoted to population social wellness”.

With no doubts, Maremma’s flavors will be there: Il Fiorino, a cheese factory in the province of Grosseto, will be the key player, as well as over 1,500 Italian food culture ambassadors, to introduce also in Sweden, the best local dairy products, from fresh cheese to the aged, the semi-mature and the flavored ones. During the opening weekend in the new store, meetings, samplings, and show cooking will roll in order to learn the highest made in Italy food and wine.

“Sweden and Northern Europe – as Angela Fiorini, Il Fiorino owner, underlines – are very important markets to us. We will get to Stockholm with pleasant and proud to bring, once again, the Italian and Maremma excellence products across the world”.
