The celebrations for 100 years of Haribo kicked off today 9 December with the inauguration of the first virtual exhibition dedicated to the history of the brand: from the website www.haribo100.it users can walk through the company's milestones in a 100% digital space which, founded by Hans Riegel in 1920, is today among the world leaders in the candy segment. The exhibition, set up inside the new Milan headquarters, has been transposed digitally through Matterport technology and offers all visitors unedited images, historical videos and in-depth content on the brand, from the origin of its name to future projects. .

In the days that from 9 December lead to the birthday date, 13 December 2020, the company will offer a series of playful activities that represent a mix of past, present and future: a reference to traditional games that we all know and the non plus ultra tech with augmented reality. From the site hosting the exhibition it will be possible to test yourself with games and quizzes with a special box containing gummy candies as a prize every day. A premium winner will be selected from among all participants and will receive a 100 pack mega box. Users through a QR code will be able to try their hand at games made with augmented reality.

Haribo's centenary falls in a particularly difficult year for the whole world and for our country which was among the first to be hit by the ongoing health emergency. This is why the company has decided to support Milanese restaurants, one of the categories that is most suffering from the repercussions of the current situation, to try to give consumers a small incentive by inviting them not to lose their good habits and continue to "go out to dinner" staying at home. The brand has made available to restaurateurs a stock of packages of its most iconic and beloved candies with which to pay homage to customers by placing them in their delivery boxes. "The goal is to raise awareness among the Milanese on the importance of making a contribution to the activities of their city, even simply by continuing to do, albeit in different ways, all those things have always made us feel good: first of all a good dinner in the restaurant favorite", says a press release.
