La Piadineria, 2021 development plan launched
The opening of another 50 restaurants is in pipeline, 5 only in January

La Piadineria has launched the development plan for the year 2021, which has the opening of another 50 restaurants in the pipeline. Five new ones will be opened in January: those at Carrefour in Pavia, at the Gran Giussano in Giussano (Mb), at the Lame center, near Bologna, will open by the end of the month those at the Pescara Nord shopping center and a traffic road restaurant in Legnago, between Verona South and Mantua.
In 2020, the company opened 25 new stores. In fact, four new locations were inaugurated in December, bringing the total number of points of sale in the network to 276. A significant growth, despite the particularly difficult year for the retail sector and for catering in particular. The first restaurant opened in December is located in the Il Palladio shopping center, outside Vicenza. The new restaurant opened between Piazza Virgilio and Via Vincenzo Monti, in the Cadorna area, is added to the large group of stores in Milan. The Piadineria has also landed at the Le Gru shopping center in Grugliasco. The latest venue opened in December is located in the Centro Nova shopping center, southwest of Bologna.
The development strategy for the current year will consolidate the areas traditionally covered by the company, and will address all retail channels. The closure of the shopping centers imposed on public holidays and pre-holidays allows the company to continue the remodeling activity of the most vintage places, including the one at the Carrefour in Limbiate and the Carosello di Carugate which were among the first opened by the chain in the centers commercial. All these premises will be updated with the new visual and equipped with digital menuboards and self checkout kiosks. More impactful was the expansion of the store at the Mantova outlet in Bagnolo San Vito, which doubled its surface, also enlarging the part dedicated to the cafeteria.
