Barilla launches a podcast series on Spotify

Focus on the production of 100% Italian durum wheat pasta

Available on Spotify, the podcast tells the story of who made the Barilla 100% Italian durum wheat pasta project possible through direct and personal testimonies

Barilla tells, for the first time through the podcast tool, the story behind an Italian project: 100% Italian Durum Wheat Pasta, the result of the principles of the Durum Wheat Manifesto, a programmatic declaration containing the company's commitments to sustainability and the enhancement of the Italian agri-food chain. In five episodes, available on Spotify, the actor and director Sergio Rubini, just the protagonist of one of the three auteur spots of last year's TV campaign, now also becomes the narrator of an authentic story that began over 30 years ago.

Rubini will bring consumers into the origin of the renewed Barilla pasta, to discover the background, anecdotes, inspirations and curiosities part of the project, in dialogue with those who made it possible: technicians, designers, managers who have signed on new product features. Five protagonists of the conversation: Francesco Barba, global center of expertise and development pasta core director, Elena Tabellini, vice president of marketing Italy Barilla, Francesca Vitali, sensory and analytical food science senior manager; Emilio Ferrari, durum wheat and semolina purchasing manager, Marcello Zaccaria, Academia Barilla chef.
