Minister Massimo Garavaglia opened: "Horeca, the leitmotif of tourism". The partnership agreement with Italgrob has been renewed for another three years

“You represent the common thread of all national tourism; without you and without the work you do every day, the whole supply chain would be interrupted ": this is how the Minister of Tourism Massimo Garavaglia opened the Italgrob International Horeca Meeting, an event that raised the curtain on The Digital Event for Eating Out , the two-day talk organized by Italian Exhibition Group, held on the online platform (reachable by registering on the website www.beerandfoodattraction.it). The opening day was also an opportunity to announce - by the managing director of Italian Exhibition Group Corrado Peraboni and by the president of Italgrob Vincenzo Caso - the renewal of the partnership for another three years (2022-2024), confirming the strategic importance of the event for the entire supply chain. To inaugurate the works, however, was the welcome greeting from the president of IEG, Lorenzo Cagnoni : "The event we are inaugurating today - he said - testifies to IEG's ability to be alongside companies, supporting them in finding business opportunities, in a moment of extreme difficulty. Yet, the interest shown in our platform bodes well for a quick recovery of the sector, which right here, at this event, is showing high levels of managerial proactivity and production innovation".

The event, it was recalled, constitutes the first step towards the edition in the presence of Beer & Food Attraction and BBTech expo, scheduled from 20 to 23 February 2022 at the Rimini Fair.

After Cagnoni , the floor was passed to Vincenzo Caso, president of Italgrob, who welcomed “all the distributors in the sector to whom a prompt redemption should be wished. This event must be a sign of positivity to the market and to all operators who are ready to restart at full capacity". The introductory greetings were concluded by Rocco Pozzulo, president of an FIC - Italian Federation of Chefs, ready to give a show on the platform with show cooking and highly appealing events, over the course of the two days: "We too - he explained - aim at the reopening of the events in presence, as important as these digital appointments are. Thanks to the happy collaboration with IEG, let's not forget the great successes obtained last year and the great visibility given to our cooking championships, with great chefs and restaurateurs as protagonists”. Subsequently, the Italgrob International Horeca Meeting opened on the theme "Ho.Re.Ca. Beyond Covid, between sustainability and the relaunch of Made in Italy".

The parterre of the guests was well fed: the Italian Exhibition Group CEO Corrado Peraboni echoed the welcome greetings from the president of Italgrob Vincenzo Caso and the video greetings from the Minister of Tourism Massimo Garavaglia : "Friends recognize each other in times of need", he began by underlining IEG's proximity to the sector and the desire to “guarantee catering operators, despite the limitations of the moment, to be at the center of current dynamics and understand the innovations and trends in progress”.

The Meeting continued with numerous and qualified interventions on future market trends and scenarios. The following took the floor: the president of Trade Lab Luca Pellegrini , the president of Federalimentare Ivano Vacondio , the president of Confagricoltura Massimiliano Giansanti , the president of Federturismo Marina Lalli and Antonio Portaccio, president of the Consorzio Beverage Network federated with italgrob. In the second session, dedicated to the market, data and focus of beverage: the director of IRI Marco Colombo , the president of Assobirra Michele Cason, the president of Assobibe Giangiacomo Pierini, the president of Mineracqua Enrico Zoppas, Sandro Boscaini , president of Federvini (see news EFA News), and the vice-presidents of Italgrob Donato Alonzo and Gaetano Aliprandi.
