Aspiag (Despar) closes 2020 with turnover of 2.43 billion (+ 4.7%)

The dealership of the Austrian group made profits of 38 million

A 2020 growing for Aspiag Service Srl, concessionaire of the Despar brand for the Triveneto and Emilia-Romagna regions, with a turnover of 2.43 billion euros (+ 5.3% in value sales and + 4.7% in sales to the public), and net profit, equal to 38.04 million (+ 19.5%). A note explains that 96 million euros were allocated to investments and 281 more collaborators than in 2019.

Despite the general difficulty dictated by the context, Aspiag Service also in 2020 continued to maintain its market leadership in the North East: in the reference area, which also includes Emilia-Romagna, the market share settled at 11, 45%, slightly up on the previous year. In fact, during the year 19 new points of sale (9 direct and 10 affiliated) were opened in the four regions of competence, allowing the Despar capillary network to reach a total of 570 commercial outlets.

“In this difficult year we have been able to count every day on the commitment and value of our 8,517 colleagues, on the trust of our customers, on the work of our suppliers. Our biggest thanks go to them, ”said President Harald Antley. “Because they are the ones who allow us to be increasingly recognized and increasingly performing”.

Aspiag Service is a subsidiary of the Austrian group Spar, owner of the Despar, Eurospar and Interspar brands and present in 9 countries, including Italy. The Group closed 2020 with revenues growing overall by + 5.6% for a total of 16.6 billion euros.
