Meet with a Poem: the event organized by Julius Meinl goes digital
A campaign to celebrate World Coffee Day and contribute to a social cause
Julius Meinl, a historic Austrian roasting company with a productive heart in the city of Vicenza, presents the digital version of "Meet with a Poem", a campaign now in its fifth edition and which this year lands online. The restrictions due to Covid-19 have highlighted a strong desire for communication between people. During the lockdown there was an increase in the use of whatsapp by 50%, an increase in the duration of calls by 30% and video calls reached 200%. In light of these data, Julius Meinl digitalized the Meet With a Poem initiative active from 15 September to 1 October 2020.
A campaign to celebrate World Coffee Day and at the same time implement a solidarity campaign both nationally and internationally. Meet with a Poem this year will support several projects and contribute to a social cause.
Anyone can access Julius Meinl Italia's Facebook and Instagram pages and download the template. To participate in the cause, simply repost the program on your social profiles, tagging the friend with whom you would like to share a coffee. Alternatively, those interested can go to one of the cafes in their neighborhood participating in the initiative, take a photo with a coffee and post it on social networks. Each image must contain the tags @JuliusMeinl and @Julius_Meinl_Italia on Instagram and @juliusmeinlofficial and @JuliusMeinlItaly on Facebook. Each post will generate a donation to WorldReader, a charity with the mission to fight illiteracy Worldreader.
Julius Meinl has decided to engage in social issues even within national borders. It supports the Bambini delle Fate association, an organization that guarantees financial aid to families with children with autistic problems and disabilities, and promotes their social inclusion. To take part in the cause, you can purchase a coffee kit (cup, saucer and 250g box of 100% Arabica Giubileo ground coffee) from one of the participating commercial operators. The saucer with the phrase " We are made different because we are poetry ", taken from a book by Guido Marangoni, it was decorated by the guys of the Children of the Fairies, to whom the entire proceeds of the campaign will be donated.
