Camst and Hera Group sign a pact for sustainability

An agreement for the implementation of circular economy projects

A collaboration agreement has been signed between Camst and the Hera Group, aimed at sustainability and mutual commitment for the realization of circular economy projects. A two-year protocol, which signs two common objectives: to improve the quality of separate collection and reduce the amount of waste produced. The restaurants currently involved are located in the province of Bologna, but the goal is to expand the range of action in the coming months.

The collaboration between the two Italian companies is aimed at researching and introducing, within the catering outlets involved, substitute materials for disposable plastic, which have the lowest possible environmental impact. Actions are also envisaged to reduce waste and reuse meals not consumed. Hera will also provide support for the separate collection and treatment of waste produced by restaurants.

A widespread communication and awareness campaign will be organized towards customers and employees of the catering outlets themselves.

Stefano Venier , Chief Executive Officer of the Hera Group, declared: "The transition towards a circular economy is primarily a cultural challenge, made up of many actions implemented continuously. This agreement with Camst is a virtuous example. Two great companies that collaborate to bring about change. Our economy is still too linear, just think that, worldwide, of all the material classified as waste, only 8.6% is reused. The path is undoubtedly complex and companies like Hera and Camst have the obligation to lead by example to protect the environment and future generations ”.
