Global Coffee Festival: Lavazza official sponsor of the sustainability channel

Preview of "La Reserva de iTierra!", Colombian blend

Lavazza will be the official sponsor of the sustainability channel of the Global Coffee Festival. A single event that simultaneously involves 12 cities around the world with 12 hours of non-stop live streaming. A virtual platform designed not to give up even this year the pleasure of sharing ideas and passion for the world of coffee and to safely connect all coffee lovers in the world.

The Turin-based company will take part in the event today 30 October at 5.30 pm, with some video contributions dedicated to the world of CSR. During the first speech Veronica Rossi , sustainability reporting and foundation manager of the company, will highlight the value of sustainability for the Group, showing how since 2004 the Giuseppe and Pericle Lavazza Onlus foundation has been committed to supporting projects that have the aim of improving quality of life and work of the caficultores, promoting sustainable agricultural practices and encouraging the economic and social development of the producing communities.

An in-depth study on the iTierra project will then follow! Colombia, part of a series of sustainability initiatives in 17 countries around the world. In Colombia, in particular, more than one hundred families in the Meta department have been able to recover land previously used for illegal crops and start producing quality coffee again. At the end of the second speech, David Cutler , brand ambassador at the head of the UK Training Center, will present one of the products of the premium range "La Reserva de iTierra!", The Colombia blend, coming from sustainable crops linked to the project. The new range of blends will thus be presented in preview, awaiting the official presentation at the beginning of 2021. It is a real collection of premium products designed for food service.
