Spreafico renews the agreement with Tango Fruit

It will distribute the Spanish brand of seedless mandarins exclusively in Italy

The partnership will make it possible to serve the main supermarket chains and the wholesale area.

For the second consecutive season, Spreafico will maintain the partnership with Tango Fruit to exclusively distribute the seedless mandarin brand on the Italian market. The alliance, sealed earlier this year, will strengthen this season, involving the main supermarket chains and the traditional wholesale channel.
Satisfaction tests carried out last season confirmed that Tango Fruit was well received, so the mandarin brand associated with the smiling bee is expected to be supplied on an ongoing basis, integrating shipments from the southern hemisphere with those from the regions. of the Mediterranean, Italy and Spain, which will soon begin production and marketing.
The agreement between the Eurosemillas brand and Spreafico has allowed the latter to expand its range of premium fruit - which already boasts brands such as Zespri in kiwifruit, Angys pear or high quality tropical fruit - with one of the seedless mandarins most popular in Europe. Spreafico from Lecco is one of the main Italian fruit and vegetable companies, with 65 years of experience in the sector, a turnover of over 350 million euros, eight distribution warehouses and logistics centers and a strong penetration both in the large-scale distribution of the country and in the markets. wholesale in Milan, Bologna, Verona and Rome.
The agreement includes a significant joint promotional effort during the launch phase. For this campaign, the main supply is expected to come from the Spanish Tang Gold plantations but, already in the first months of 2021, there will be a growing presence of crops in Italy, which in the medium / long term will become the main supplier. With a view to strengthening its integrated supply chain, Spreafico has decided to further strengthen Italian production, acquiring the license for 100 hectares that will be planted over the next 3 years.
After the season in the Mediterranean area, the continuity of the brand on the shelves will be guaranteed by the authorized exporters of Peru and South Africa.
