From today, Coca-Cola is also contactless

New beverage dispensing system in Spain, on Freestyle dispensers

Coca-Cola has implemented a new contactless system that will allow consumers to select and dispense their beverage at vending machines directly from their mobile phone. The technology, called Mobile Pour, has already been integrated into the 88 Freestyle vending machines installed for various operators such as Five Guys, Burger King, Cinesa and Parques Reunidos. The plant will also be configured in the other 13 European markets where Freestyle machines are present.

To use the system, consumers will only have to scan the QR code they will find on the screens of the Freestyle terminal. A simple gesture with which, without the need for direct contact with the distributor, they will have access to a total of 109 beverage options. Through the menu, which can be consulted directly on smartphones, customers can choose from all possible combinations, with sugar or zero.

Mobile Pour is also designed to facilitate and improve the experience of its managers, who will have access from their mobile devices to new possibilities of key information for their businesses. In this case, Mobile Pour will allow the owners of the distributors to know in real time the sales of each Freestyle terminal, and to forecast the consumption trend with which to optimize their resources and make the use of each machine even more efficient. The implementation of this technology only involves a software update within the already active terminals. It does not imply any logistical changes or involve an additional outlay for customers who already own Freestyle in their businesses.
