Ivc Evidensia, investments for global growth increase

Eqt, Silver Lake and Nestlé Purina continue their partnership with the veterinary group

Ivc Evidensia, with the aim of becoming the best veterinary group in the world, announces that it has received further investments in order to accelerate the growth of the company. With this in mind, the majority shareholder Eqt declared that he would continue to invest in the company. Silver Lake, a leading global technology investment company, is making a substantial new investment to help unlock and accelerate the growth of the company's digital and technology solutions. Finally, Nestlé Purina declared an increase in its stake in Ivc, while remaining a minority shareholder. Nestlé Purina PetCare Emena (Europe, Middle East, North Africa) and IVC will continue their partnership to develop advanced pet food solutions and pet care services.

According to the Financial Times, the total value of the shareholders' investment was € 3.5 billion, with a valuation of the company equal to € 12.3 billion, with a multiple of 90x the value of the Ebitda (122 million GBP). According to the financial newspaper, with this operation the hypothesis of listing the company on the stock exchange fades, with an IPO that would have valued Ivc Evidensia "only" for 10.5 billion euros.

Ivc CEO Stephen Clarke commented: “This is a great expression of trust in the company and our people should be proud of what we have achieved together. We must continue to do what we do best: take care of animals, people and the environment, and pave the way for new standards of animal care and employee welfare globally. This investment will help us continue to provide premium care for our 4 million pets and their owners in the 12 countries where we already operate".

Ivc Evidensia is one of the first veterinary clinics in Europe with headquarters in 12 countries. "We invest in our people, facilities and processes to deliver clinical excellence across the continent. We believe best veterinary practices are those led by local teams, which is why we invest in the continued professional development of our staff", says a press release.
