Masi Agricola signs an agreement for the Patent box

Significant certification of brand value

Masi Agricola Spa, a company listed on AIM Italia of the Italian Stock Exchange, leading producer of Amarone and premium wines, has signed a prior agreement with the Revenue Agency - Regional Directorate of Veneto for the definition of the methods and criteria for calculating the income statement, in case of direct use of intangible assets. The facility consists of a reduction in the Company's taxable income based on the contribution of brands to the creation of income. This facility is commonly referred to as a "Patent Box". This agreement therefore provides for the method of calculating the economic contribution to the production of business income of the brands used by Masi Agricola. With its long entrepreneurial history, now almost 250 years old, the Valpolicella Classica company represents one of the most representative poles of Italian enology and passionately interprets the values of the Venetian regions, spreading them throughout the world, in almost 140 countries, through excellence of its wines.

Federico Girotto, Managing Director of Masi Agricola, declared: "We are satisfied with what we consider an implicit attestation of the value of our brands, on whose premium positioning we work every day with great determination, to confirm ourselves among the most representative companies of Made in Italy. Our values, distinctive skills and profound respect for the territory, also in terms of sustainability, are the main pillars on which we will continue to focus in our future growth strategy".

Masi Agricola reminds you that, while for 2015 the subsidy is determined by excluding 30% of the income attributable to the use of subsidized intangibles from the tax base, for 2016 the quota will be equal to 40%, while for the three-year period 2017-2019 it will be equal to 50%.
