UK: Boris Johnson tomorrow new prime minister
And he promises: "Brexit" by October 31st
Boris Johnson, former mayor of London, is now the new premier of the United Kingdom. Tomorrow there will be the handover from the resigning Theresa May to the leader of the conservative party, which beat the foreign minister Jeremy Hunt with 66% of the votes in the runoff. Johnson stated that he will carry out the "Brexit" by October 31st, and will unite the country. Theresa May congratulated the new leader after the announcement. Jeremy Corbyn instead, head of the Labor Party, reacted by asking for new "general elections" and saying: "Johnson won thanks to the support of less than 100 thousand non-representative members of the conservative party, promising tax cuts for the richest, appearing as the friend of the bankers and pushing for a Brexit without agreement and therefore harmful". United States President Trump was thrilled with the result: "Congratulations to Boris Johnson for becoming the new premier of the United Kingdom. It will be fantastic". Also the new president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen complimented: "I look forward to working with him, we have difficult times ahead of us ...".
