Everything seems to indicate that the 2021 edition of Anuga, one of the largest world events for food & beverage, will be a success. A phrase that is not expected to be heard in a season like the present one, which sees fairs under the heavy siege of the dramatic global pandemic. Yet this is the indication that emerges at the close of the "early bird", or the deadline within which those who register can obtain discounts and facilities. The result of the pre-registrations, ten months before the opening of gates, is decidedly encouraging, because of same number and same quality of registrations of previous edition; numbers that today allow us to announce that all spaces available in the exhibition center have been occupied.

"A fact that encourages us and allows us to look positively at the future of fairs, which will not fail to play their irreplaceable role after the storm that overwhelmed us", said Thomas Rosolia , CEO of Koelnmesse Italia. "We had no doubts about the excellent response from the world of food and beverages, which in Anuga is by far the most important world marketplace. A result in which, as always, Italy has played a leading role: it certainly holds true it is worth remembering that of the 7,500 exhibitors who animated the last edition as many as 1,100 were Italian, a larger participation even than the German one”.

The next Anuga, scheduled in Cologne from 9 to 13 October 2021, will be structured in 10 thematic salons, precisely to be a complete and coherent representation of the many themes and the ocean of products that fall within the boundaries of food & beverage. Ten "fairs inside the fair" where there will be all the "big" internationals and where there are already many Italian companies that have confirmed their participation, including Zanetti, Levoni, Inalpi, F.lli Saclà, Mutti, Surgital, Granarolo, Lauretana , Inalca.

There will be new areas for growing food trends, such as “Anuga Clean Label” or “Anuga free from, Health & Functional Food” which will in fact summarize in a review much of what is emerging in terms of healthy nutrition. For months, in Cologne, work has been done to define a strict hygiene and safety program, called #B-Safe4Business, although it is expected that the efforts made worldwide to tackle Covid-19 will have brought significant results within the next October. All, of course, with the support of the dedicated platform Anuga@home, which will open the boundaries of endless digital opportunities.
