Italpizza: 20M euro minibond subscribed by UniCredit
It is intended for the investment plan for the company's internationalization
Italpizza, a leading company in the production of pizzas, with a turnover of 170 million euros in 2020, has issued a minibond of 20 million euros, underwritten by UniCredit and 70% guaranteed by Sace. The transaction is structured with an amortization plan ad hoc based on specific business needs and has a duration of 72 months. The financial resources deriving from the bond loan will be used to support Italpizza's ambitious commercial expansion plan which includes investments for the internationalization of the company and its foreign subsidiaries.
"The financial agreement just signed is, for Italpizza, a great sign of trust received by the institutional partners UniCredit and Sace", says the general manager of the company Andrea Bondioli. "In our vision, this will allow us to invest further in the project of internationalization in a supranational and long-term logic. Currently 60% of Italpizza's turnover is developed abroad, but almost exclusively under the brands of distribution chains. The evolution of the markets suggests diversifying the distribution models by intensifying, as happened for the Italian market, the distribution of our brand which is synonymous with high quality products".
“With this transaction, UniCredit confirms its ability to provide companies with specific financial solutions", declares Andrea Burchi , UniCredit central north regional manager, "combining traditional credit support with forms of access to the capital market to support growth and investments. This is the case of the Italpizza minibond, a dynamic and innovative entrepreneurial reality that has focused on the international dimension to implement its development strategy. UniCredit is at his side. More than ever in this emergency phase, we are determined to promptly guarantee our support for Italian excellence”.
"We are always very satisfied to support, thanks to our integrated offer of insurance and financial solutions able to fully support the needs of companies, a company like Italpizza which, despite the pandemic context, aims at international markets as an opportunity for growth of its business", said Marco Mercurio, head of the Mid Corporate segment of Sace's center-north,"allowing Italian companies to access the capital market through alternative debt instruments is an integral part of Sace's strategy and this operation is the confirmation".
