Tuttofood 2028: Two New Pavilions and the Global Date Experience

Expanded exhibition capacity and new B2B platform for the global date supply chain

Two new pavilions and new projects dedicated to the international agri-food supply chain. Tuttofood, the international B2B platform for the agri-food sector, is already showing signs of growth and innovation for its 2028 edition, the third organized by Fiere di Parma, scheduled for May 8-11 at Fiera Milano Rho, further strengthening its role as a hub for global agri-food sourcing and business. Building on the record results of 2026: 123,000 professional attendees (30% more than in 2025), 5,000 exhibiting brands (20%), and 4,000 top international buyers, the event has announced two new pavilions to meet the rapidly growing demand for exhibition space and a B2B platform dedicated to the international date supply chain.

The announcement was made by Antonio Cellie , CEO of Fiere di Parma, during the third international road show dedicated to Tuttofood 2028 (following those in São Paulo and New York), an exclusive network event held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, during The Saudi Food Show. Marco Bocchi , Consul General of Italy in Jeddah, attended the event. Bocchi emphasized that "economic relations between Italy and Saudi Arabia are increasingly strong, and agri-food is a particularly promising sector because Italian excellence, technology, and expertise are a perfect match for the ambitions and growing capabilities of the Saudi market. Strengthening cooperation between the respective agri-food supply chains can, therefore, generate new opportunities for businesses in both countries," confirming the attention with which Saudi Arabia, too, is following Tuttofood's rapidly growing importance as a strategic event for the global food supply chains.

"Saudi Arabia is rapidly strengthening its position not only as the world's leading exporter of dates, but also as one of the fastest-growing agri-food export countries. The international market is changing: dates are increasingly appreciated not only as a premium fruit, but also as an ingredient in innovative food products and in professional kitchens. The Italian food service industry must also be able to evaluate the business opportunities these products offer to the creativity and quality of national hospitality. Tuttofood wants to support this evolution," commented Antonio Cellie .

Among the first innovations announced for 2028 is The Global Date Experience, a new B2B platform dedicated to the international date supply chain, which will connect producers and exporters with buyers, retailers, the food industry, and foodservice operators. The area will showcase not only premium varieties, but also innovative date-based ingredients and applications, creating sourcing and product development opportunities along the entire food supply chain.

The new platform is being launched in a rapidly growing market. According to an analysis of ITA (Italian Trade Agency) data based on Trade Data Monitor, Saudi Arabia exported €5.87 billion in agri-food products in 2025 (+8.1%). The Fruit & Nuts category, which includes dates, reached €557.7 million (+11.3%). The country also confirmed its position as the world's leading exporter of dates, with a value of €460.5 million, equal to 23.7% of global exports, and over 408,000 tons exported, a 16.4% increase in volume. The next Tuttofood 2028 roadshow will be held on October 18 in Paris, during SIAL.
