Cibus Tec 2026 closed on Friday with a record turnout, well over 40,000 professional operators, a 10% increase compared to the 2023 edition, coming from 120 countries.

From October 27 to 30, the event brought together companies, buyers, and professionals at Fiere di Parma to explore technologies for the food and beverage industry, reaffirming its role on the international trade show scene.

International participation contributed significantly to the event’s success, with foreign companies accounting for 30% of the 1,300 exhibitors in total, and national pavilions from 19 countries represented across all exhibition halls.

Over 3,000 top international buyers were present in Parma thanks to the Top Buyer Program, the industry’s largest buyer incoming program.

Among the most significant international markets, Africa reaffirmed its interest in Italian technologies, with over 300 industry professionals from 20 countries attending the fair. This participation is part of the initiative launched with Cibus Tec for Africa, the project that this year has brought Italian companies and expertise to five African markets through trade missions and meetings with local partners.

Cibus Tec for Africa will continue in 2027 with new initiatives to develop collaboration opportunities and promote the transfer of Italian technologies and competencies. Among the events already confirmed is the organization of a Cibus Tec group exhibition at Anuga Select South Africa, scheduled to take place in Cape Town from June 22 to 24, 2027.

For the first time, Cibus Tec dedicated a specific project to the bakery sector, a strategic area for Italian exports of food industry technologies, accounting for 15.3% of the total value, which found a forum at the trade show to discuss key innovation challenges. Through the “Bakery? Yes, We Tec!” initiative, Cibus Tec highlighted the technological solutions driving the evolution of an increasingly interconnected and global supply chain.

The Beverage sector, which has always been one of the pillars of Cibus Tec, also played a central role in this edition, featuring the initiatives “Beverage? Yes, We Tec!” and “Wine? Yes, We Tec!”, as well as an entire pavilion dedicated to technologies for liquid foods, water, soft drinks, wines, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Major global players presented solutions across the entire technological chain, addressing shifts in consumer behavior and the need for sustainability, energy efficiency, and plant reliability. The presence of these technologies reaffirmed Cibus Tec’s role as a benchmark for the beverage industry and the wine supply chain.

Cibus Tec will return to Parma from October 23 to 26, 2029. The event is organized by Koeln Parma Exhibitions (Kpe), a joint venture between Koelnmesse GmbH and Fiere di Parma S.p.A.
