Selecta and Nestlé, extended partnership for the distribution of coffee throughout Europe

After Starbucks, also the premium brands Nescafé and Zoégas

Selecta Group, a European self-service retailer, has extended its strategic partnership with Nestlé, and will distribute Nestlé's premium coffee brands in Europe for another five years. Following the new five-year partnership agreement, Selecta becomes the pan-European distribution partner for the premium coffee brands Nescafé and Zoégas. This is in addition to the existing distribution agreement between the two companies for the Starbucks brand, which has enabled the launch of the "We Proudly Serve" self-service coffee program in 14 markets in Europe.

According to a release, this partnership saw the company distribute "the authentic Starbucks experience" and a range of premium beverages in more than 2,400 outlets across offices, hospitals, universities, gas stations, cinemas and convenience stores; More than 35 million Starbucks coffee drinks would be served annually. Christian Schmitz ,CEO of Selecta Group, said: “We are committed to providing consumers across Europe with high quality, excellent tasting coffee products, and this exciting partnership extension agreement with Nestlé is testament to our experience in this sector. The coffee market has enjoyed tremendous growth in recent years and we have been at the forefront of self-service innovation to enable consumers to enjoy high-quality, great-tasting products both on the road and in the workplace".

Vincent de Clippele , head of Nestlé professional zone Emena, added: "We are thrilled to extend our European partnership 'We Proudly Serve' to now also include our Nescafé and Zoégas brands. Selecta's strength in the workplace and in movement will help promote greater accessibility and reach consumers of Nestlé coffee brands away from home".
