Callipo rewards employees

The company closed the year with turnover up by 7.6%, equal to 67.4 million

2020 ends with optimism for the future and positivity for Callipo employees. The Calabrian company, despite this complicated and difficult year due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting economic crisis, managed to close 2020 with a turnover of € 67.4 million, an increase of 7.6% compared to 2019 and for the sixth consecutive year it grants all employees a production bonus of € 1,000. "A bonus - explains a company note - to thank every worker of Callipo Conserve Alimentari for the efforts and sacrifices faced this year, for the courage and strong sense of responsibility shown, which have allowed the company to be always operational and to guarantee food supplies on the national territory and beyond. Callipo has always placed its collaborators at the center of the business vision, considered the most precious resources, thanks to their professionalism and passion, and the creators of the 'quality' that gives 107 years distinguishes the company".

In conjunction with the announcement of the bonus, a new trade union agreement was signed with the local Fai Cisl (CZ, KR and VV) for the disbursement of a productivity bonus also for 2021.

We have lived through a year of unprecedented uncertainties and difficulties but despite everything we have continued with perseverance and with a great spirit of sacrifice. Our collaborators have shown courage and determination in guaranteeing daily work, thus ensuring food supplies to families in Italy and abroad. The positive results achieved this year therefore take on a very special significance. For this reason, with pride, we want to confirm the choice to provide the production bonus as a concrete thanks for all the collaborators of the 'great Callipo family'. We leave 2020 behind us by sharing a moment of positivity and trust towards the future”, comments Pippo Callipo, Director of Giacinto Callipo Conserve Alimentari.

"The disbursement of the productivity bonus for the year 2020, thanks to the achievement of the set objectives, and the signing of the agreement for the year 2021 are important results that reward the commitment, participation, self-denial and spirit of belonging of the workers called to an extraordinary effort in this period conditioned by the raging pandemic", comments Daniele Gualtieri , Secretary General of Fai Cisl of Catanzaro-Crotone and Vibo Valentia, who continues: "The agreement with Callipo Conserve Alimentari confirms the consolidation of participatory and responsible trade union relations, in the direction of enhancing human capital and the quality of work. Among the latest achievements are noteworthy: the signing of the protocol signed in March 2019 which provided for an allocation of one million euros for corporate welfare and which allowed the disbursement of loans to employees at a subsidized rate of 1% and the stabilization of 38 workers which took place a few months ago. In my personal name and in the name of the whole territorial Federation, a sincere thanks to all the workers and the Rsu for their precious contribution as well as to the company management for the collaboration, always marked by respect for roles, and for the sharing of objectives of increasingly ambitious growth, with positive repercussions on a territory that needs business and quality work, even more so today, considering the worsening of the economic and social crisis caused by the pandemic”.
