Cim Alimentari: development agreement with Beretta and Bresaole Del Zoppo

2.5 million investment to expand the plant in Parma

Development agreement signed to start an investment, to be made in Langhirano, in the province of Parma, of over 2.5 million euros presented by the company Cim Alimentari Spa together with Salumificio Fratelli Beretta Spa and Bresaole del Zoppo Srl, leading companies in Italy for processing of hams and production of sausages. The green light for the development agreement was given by the Emilia Romagna regional council, during the last session, which also arranged the financing of over 111 thousand euros, 3% of the total investment.

When fully operational, the investment includes about ten new hires, and involves the installation of a new slicing line capable of operating on semi-finished products at less cold temperatures, a plant for washing hams before the boning phase and two new machines, packaging machines capable of increasing the volumes produced and improving the perceived quality and presentation of the packages.

The program and development agreements initiated by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and Invitalia are provided for by the Ministerial Decree on the regulation of development contracts. Through the procedure called "fast-track" they allow, for projects of large dimensions and strategic importance also from the point of view of environmental sustainability, shared with the Region in which they are implemented, a preferential access lane and allocation of dedicated resources.
