The fairs restart from China
The start in April with Anufood, the reference exhibition in the southern area of the agri-food sector

The Greater Bay Area will be the "main engine" of the Chinese economy for the future
And if in Italy there is still red alert for the sectors of fairs and congresses (see article EFA News of 12-01-21 ), among the most affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, right from the place where the spread of the virus began, after months of absence, the trade fairs start again. The start is set for 21 April 2021 with the three-day appointment of Anufood China in Shenzhen. Until 23 April 2021, the 6th edition of the fair will be an opportunity for buyers and investors to test the opportunities that the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and southern China markets can offer.
Anufood China, is the reference fair for the agri-food sector in the country, with a specific focus on the food & beverage industry. The event offers direct market access to both retailers and wholesalers in this area, as well as importers, distributors, hotels and restaurants. In recent months, the demand for food and beverages from Chinese consumers has started to grow again at a pre-Covid pace.
The business environment and robust market momentum have made southern China an ideal area for foreign companies. The Greater Bay Area, the unprecedented economic region containing 9 cities in southern China and the neighboring Hong Kong and Macao, is officially unveiled as a pilot region for its national development plan. With the strong policy support and natural geo-advantage, the Greater Bay Area will be the "main engine" of China's economy in the future.
12,000 professional visitors are expected for this edition of the fair, including 300 top buyers from southern and eastern China, specially hosted to participate in the business matching program with exhibitors. Also on the program are the Chef Tables "on the road", with live cooking demonstrations, product presentations and tastings. Among the forums and conferences organized: the congress of the China Imported Food Association of Cfnadi Cfna; the global forum on imported food retail market trends, organized by Shenzhen Retail Business Association and Global Union; the global forum on the meat industry, by Meat International Group.
"As a manufacturer and distributor of pork, we focus on natural and healthy food, with a professional and innovative approach. Special thanks to 'Chef Table', which created a platform for us to better understand various parts of the food industry from delicate ingredients to delicious meals. Whether in passionate Chengdu or exoteric Shanghai, we built our network with many professionals in different trade industries during this event", commented Jojo Hu, Shanghai Nordic Lotus Food Co.
Finally, the cooking competition co-organized by the Shenzhen Cuisine Association will be held, where 12 teams of chefs will compete for two consecutive days with different specialties, which will then be tasted and judged by a jury of professionals.
