Skretting Italy rallies the value chain for post-COVID opportunities
The new aperitivONline platform is helping to reimagine aquaculture food systems
Recognising that the food landscape is likely to be very different as the world emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic, Skretting Italy has been hard at work alongside many of the country’s leading aquaculture producers and other stakeholders to ascertain how the value chain can best prepare and innovate to meet new market demands and trends. "aperitivONline" is series of interactive webinars, managed in cooperation with Turin based Lce, that have run regularly throughout Italy’s lockdown. These have been providing fish farmers and other related businesses with invaluable insights from a wealth of external guests, including chefs, retailers, food designers, academics, journalists, food industry executives and NGOs. The primary goal is to help everyone with a connection to the industry identify opportunities to establish healthier and more sustainable supply chains that also champion local production and reduce supply risks.

The aperitivONline initiative is part of Skretting Italy’s ongoing “Acqua in Bocca!” customer engagement project, which was launched in 2017 to help the sector develop an effective value proposition based on sustainability that meets market expectations and requirements.
