Appointment with Ism and ProSweets Cologne in 2022
Fairs of confectionery and snack products, postponed due to pandemic
The persistence of the pandemic has forced Koelnmesse Gmbh to cancel the next edition of ProSweets Cologne and Ism, the two fairs that "together offer the world's largest showcase for confectionery and snacks and supplies for the industries in the sector", says one press release. The appointment, scheduled for next January, is therefore postponed from 30 January to 2 February 2022.
"It was a difficult decision, because many of the exhibitors wanted to be in Cologne", commented Thomas Rosolia, managing director of Koelnmesse Italia. "We had defined in time a series of interventions and safety measures under the title # Bsafe4business with which to guarantee maximum peace of mind to Italian exhibitors and visitors, who have always been the undisputed protagonists of the two events". The digital platform "Matchmaking 365+" would have made it possible to involve even those who did not come to the fair but, two months after the opening of the gates, many concerns and too many question marks remain, "so we decided to make an appointment with the whole sector to 2022 with greater energy and desire to meet ".
The decision to cancel the two events scheduled for next January saw the involvement of associations and realities of the supply chain, the same ones that, following the postponement, have already said they are absolutely ready to collaborate at 360 degrees, to ensure that Ism and ProSweets 2022 once again give their irreplaceable contribution to the successes of the global chain of the confectionery and snack industry.
