The Protected Geographical Indication Pesca di Delia is reserved for both yellow or white pulp peaches and yellow pulp nectarines. The varieties allowed are divided by type and ripening period.

For the yellow or white pulp peaches, the ripening period is from 25 May to 15 July for the early varieties, from 16 July to 20 August for the mid-season varieties and from 21 August to 10 October for the late varieties. For yellow-fleshed Nectarine varieties, the period runs from 10 June to 15 July for early varieties, from 16 July to 20 August for mid-season varieties and from 21 August to 10 October for late varieties. The peculiar taste characteristics are the sugar content and the hardness of the pulp due to the greater quantities of nutrients that the plant is able to allocate to the fruit, compared to other fruits of the same type obtained in other cultivation areas.

The production area falls within the municipalities of Serradifalco, Caltanissetta, Delia, Sommatino, Riesi, Mazzarino and Butera, in the province of Caltanissetta, and in the municipalities of Canicattì, Castrofilippo, Naro, Ravanusa and Campobello di Licata, in the province of Agrigento, in the region Sicily.
